Context Analysis
Compatibility of Site with Instructional Requirements – The training site will be located in the campus PLC rooms. The learners will use their district issued iPad and laptop when applicable. Each teacher has an Apple ID and password, their devices are connected to WiFi. The instructional course is hosted on a Wix site which is a whitelisted website in the district. The learners who are ready to claim a digital badge will provide a lesson plan or a link to a student project. A form will be filled out to identify the SAMR level of technology integration.
Adaptability of Site to Simulate Workplace – The initial training is taking place in the PLC room and the working environments will depend on where the learner chooses to complete the individulized training. The learner will use the digital badge site to chose a training of their choice to integrate into their classroom instruction.
Adaptability for Delivery Approaches – The learners will access the instruction via the Wix website. This delivery approach will provide one source training stop and availablity to meet their schedules. . Since the training is how to integrate technology into classroom instruction it is imperative that each learner experience claiming digital badges to meet the district goals in the 1:1 iPad initiative.
Learning-Site Constraints Affecting Design and Delivery – There are no feasible
constraints that would affect the design of the instructional course or the delivery. The district is equipped with alternate WiFi access point in the event that WiFi would not be accessible.
